Chicago Attorney Michael Ian Bender Named Among 10 Best in Illinois for 2016

The Litigation, Lawsuits & Disputes Division of the American Institute of Legal Counsel (AIOLC) has recognized the exceptional performance of Chicago attorney Michael Ian Bender as one of Illinois’ “Top 10 Attorneys and Firms” for client satisfaction in 2016.

The American Institute of Legal Counsel is a third-party attorney rating organization that publishes an annual list of the Top 10 Legal Counsel in each state. Attorneys who are selected to the “10 Best” list must pass AIOLC’s rigorous selection process, which is based on client and/or peer nominations, thorough research, and AIOLC’s independent evaluation. AIOLC’s annual lists are created as a resource to help clients make educated decisions during the attorney selection process.

One of the most significant aspects of the selection process involves attorneys’ relationships and reputation among his or her clients. As clients should be an attorney’s top priority, AIOLC places the utmost emphasis on selecting lawyers who have achieved significant success in the field of Legal Counsel without sacrificing the service and support they provide. As a result, AIOLC’s selection criteria focuses on attorneys who demonstrate the highest standards of client satisfaction.

“It’s an honor to be acknowledged by the American Institute of Legal Counsel,” said Bender, a retired judge of the Illinois Circuit Court of Cook County, who decided to return to his roots and go back into private practice in December 2013. “Being nominated by both my peers and my clients is certainly something I’m proud of, and I’m grateful for the recognition.”  In 2015, Bender was recognized by the American Institute of Family Attorneys (AIOFLA) as one of Illinois’ 10 Best Family Law Attorneys.

Bender is the founder of The Law Office of Michael Ian Bender, based in Chicago. A family law attorney for over 25 years, Bender is determined to end child abuse. Having presided over thousands of cases involving child abuse and/or custody and support during his time as a judge, Bender, in private practice, continues to protect the rights of children through legal advocacy and offender education.
